World-leading
Port Technologies
BlueLift combines two world leaders in port technology: Tugdock and Mammoet. The result is a modular dock and heavy-lift crane for Port of Los Angeles, at a fraction of the cost and development time of conventional pier construction.
Tugdock
The firm has invented a modular, floating dock system in which 3m x 7m buoyant air bags are fixed within steel frames and bolted one to another to create a large, heavy weight-bearing dock structure.
• A small fraction of the capital cost of conventional pier development.
• No pile driving, no permanent construction, no bay fill, no major dredging.
• Includes a detachable, fully submersible, 100m x 100m section to launch or dry-dock any heavy vessel.
Mammoet
A global leader in heavy-lift solutions for both onshore and offshore industries.
The firm will provide a heavy-lift crawler crane for BlueLift’s site:
• Fully electric, zero emissions, connected to the onshore transmission grid.
• Lifting capacity for any conceivable load and task: offshore oil decommissioning,
project cargo, heavy-lift docking, offshore wind, or other uses.
